A measurement data-based investigation of fading modeling for indoor THz wireless systems

چکیده
The terahertz (THz) band offers a vast amount of still unallocated bandwidth, which makes it promising enabler for future sixth generation wireless systems. high frequencies the THz lead to significantly reduced multipath richness propagating signals. However, there are paths that can carry significant power. As result, small-scale fading characterization is particular interest and appropriate stochastic distributions best fit empirical channels need be identified. This work investigates suitability 'alpha-mu', Rice Nakagami-m adequately model statistics channel gain measurements various Line-of-Sight (LoS) Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) indoor links. fitting accuracy examined analytical validated by means Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Kullback-Leibler divergence, logarithmic test root-mean-square-error. Investigation of optical wireless systems for indoor broadband networks
Today’s home area networks (HANs) are designed to satisfy the expectations of subscribers for access in bandwidth hungry services, such as High Definition TV Video, Telepresence, 3D Gaming, Virtual Reality and e-Health. To this direction the use of wireless optical systems is examined. A simulation model was developed in MATLAB to compute the impulse response of the optical wireless channel and...
متن کاملFading at 5GHz Indoor Wireless Channels
The paper reports on the experiments undertaken at the University of Wollongong to characterise fading profiles of an indoor wireless channels at 5GHz bands. The measurements were undertaken at different locations around the campus with results recorded for a post-processing to calculate the Rician k-factor, the level crossing rate and the average fade duration.
متن کاملContext-aware Modeling for Spatio-temporal Data Transmitted from a Wireless Body Sensor Network
Context-aware systems must be interoperable and work across different platforms at any time and in any place. Context data collected from wireless body area networks (WBAN) may be heterogeneous and imperfect, which makes their design and implementation difficult. In this research, we introduce a model which takes the dynamic nature of a context-aware system into consideration. This model is con...
متن کاملIndoor Channel Measurement for Wireless Communication
In the past few years, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system received lots of attentions, since it is capable in providing higher spectrum efficiency, as well as better transmission reliability. This improvement is brought by the multiple antennas at both sides of transmission. Since there are additional parallel sub-channels in spatial domain, system can not only increase the reliabilit...

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...
